Oregon’s Bottle Bill Will Change Again in 2018

Here’s a friendly heads up:

Starting January 1, 2018, Oregon’s Bottle Bill will be expanding to include all beverages except distilled liquor, wine, dairy and plant-based milks, infant formula, and meal replacement beverages. Manufacturers will have until January 20149 to update their labels to reflect the change. Until then, all beverages covered by the Bottle Bill will have a 10-cent refund value, even if they’re not clearly labeled as such on the bottle. Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to put signs up at the co-op to remind you of the changes once the bill goes into effect.

You can find additional information on the OLCC Bottle Bill at http://www.oregon.gov/OLCC/pages/bottle_bill.aspx.
